The Jalisco Stadium is a football stadium located in Guadalajara, Mexico. It is the third largest Mexican football stadium behind Estadio Azteca and Estadio Olímpico Universitario. The facility is located in the city of Guadalajara, Jalisco, 400 kilometers north-west of Mexico City, and has a maximum capacity of 56,713 spectators.
Estadio Jalisco was the home ground of Guadalajara, one of the oldest football teams in Mexico, until 2010. It remains the home stadium of Club Atlas and lower tier football teams. Both teams play in Liga MX. It is also the home ground of the Club Universidad de Guadalajara from Ascenso MX. Several football preliminary matches took place for the 1968 Summer Olympics. The stadium has hosted the FIFA World Cup tournaments: (1970) and (1986).
